Inspired by SeaLyon, a 1920-1930’s classic wooden boat designer from New York City known for exceptional performance. The brand was conceived by Ben and Piper with family while cruising through our happy place - perched in the cockpit of a 1925 SeaLyon called the Herschel. While drinking wine and feeling the freedom of slicing through the water, we felt compelled to bring this sense of adventure to our wine making journey. Sealionne wines, rooted in our beautiful Ribbon Ridge Estate property in Newberg, Oregon, is also a place for exploration. We make wines that we feel embody the freedom we experience while adventuring and traveling with those we love.

Piper Underbrink
Founder. Winemaker. Dreamer.
Piper grew up on the lake that inspired this magical brand, helping her father fix antique wooden boats. In between learning the history of these majestic vessels her father taught her about the world through the lens of wine. When she met Ben, Piper was giddy to share her passion for travel, food, and environmental awareness through wine!

Ben Stalker

Ben Stalker learned a passion for adventure as a child growing up in the Wyoming mountains. His passion for bike racing showed him how thoughtful connection through adventure can bring a community together. Upon meeting Piper, Ben knew that life wasn’t going to be boring. And together they began the trek of a lifetime - building connection and inspiring travel through the lens of wine!

Stella was rescued from the pound after her original family decided her big paws and long legs were too much! Finding kinship in this, Piper brought her home! She is always guarding at the top of the property and enjoys ski-touring and pestering her much smaller sister!
Tia
HR, Emotional Support Pup.
Tia was rescued at the age of two from a puppy mill after two litters. You can find her glued to her parents’ side in the vineyard or in the winery! She will always greet you with a wiggle and a lick!
